"From every wound there is a scar and every scar tells a story."

First diagnosed in 2004 at the age of 29 with Testicular Cancer Jonathan has relapsed 4 times and has also been diagnosed with a bowel cancer.  He has had months of chemotherapy and many surgeries that have left his body battered and broken with a litany of side effects.

Mentally the challenges have been significant too with a reduced life expectancy, depression, mental health challenges, anxiety and PTSD alongside a career interrupted and numerous redundancies.

But the important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle, the essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well and I have fought well and share that with you.

"Do not judge me by my success, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again"

Despite, in-spite and because of the illnesses and the scars there have been triumphs. Jonathan displays an indefatigable spirit to all his endeavours and despite not being quick or strong his indomitable will to push through has seen him achieve amazing things.

From finishing an Ironman with active cancer through to walking on fire and running marathons.  Jonathan has climbed the highest mountains,  swum the longest lakes and has thrived whilst pursuing a life less than ordinary.

Jonathan seeks adventure and finds the challenge of events a way to share his story and to further remind himself of how lucky he is.  Currently he's trying to become the first 6 time cancer survivor to run a marathon on every continent.

"Make the most of yourself for that is all there is of you"

"From the time I first spoke to Jonathan, it was clear he would be an inspiring speaker. He supported our conference and attended the full conference, which is important to us, as we want our speakers to feel part of the day. His talk was funny, inspiring, honest and impactful. We will book Jonathan again, his messages are still being talked about and impact the service focus of our staff.

This is our 8th conference and we have booked many speakers and Jonathan is one of our 'stand out' speakers, with staff saying this was the best conference ever.

Jonathan's message is relevant to all organisations, and staff in all roles, including senior leadership, his talk will change your perspective and make you laugh."

The Journey of Courage:

For twenty years, I have faced the relentless challenges that cancer brought into my life. Six times, I looked the disease in the eye and chose to thrive with unwavering determination regardless of what was thrown my way. Each diagnosis brought its own set of obstacles, but through it all, I held on to hope and found the strength to carry on.

Life-Altering Surgeries and Chemotherapy:

The battle against cancer often demands tough decisions and hard outcomes. I underwent life-changing surgeries and endured countless rounds of chemotherapy. These experiences have forever shaped my perspective on life, love, and resilience. Every step of the way, I refused to let cancer define me, and instead, I embraced my journey as an opportunity to inspire others facing similar challenges.

Embracing Infertility and Mental Health Challenges:

Amidst the trials of cancer, I faced the heartaches of infertility, a reduced life expectancy, mental health challenges, including moments of despair and suicidal ideation. However, in the darkest hours, I found the strength to seek help and support, ultimately discovering the power of resilience and self-compassion.

Thriving Against All Odds:

Despite enduring unimaginable hardships, I decided to thrive rather than merely survive. I chose to embrace life fully and unapologetically. Rebuilding myself after the surgeries and treatments gave me the impetus, from shuffling along the hospital corridor, to walking 50m then jogging and subsequently running I realised that whilst I’m moving, I’m living and as long as you’re living then there’s hope. This realisation led me to set a daring goal - running a marathon on every continent - symbolizing the universality of both cancer's reach and the power of survival.

The Global Mission:

Through my journey, I came to realize that cancer knows no boundaries. It is a global challenge that impacts the lives of millions. I embarked on the quest to conquer a marathon on every continent as a testament to the worldwide community of survivors, fighters, and supporters. Each step I take across continents is a symbol of solidarity, hope, and resilience that transcends borders and unites us all.

Together, We Are Strong:

"Six Times Strong, Seven Continents Brave" represents the collective strength that cancer survivors exhibit worldwide. It is a rallying cry to unite, support, and uplift one another, proving that despite the odds, we can triumph over adversity and live life to the fullest. This adventure is not just my story though; it is a platform, an idea to inspire and support others facing cancer and its challenges. Whether you are a fellow survivor, a caregiver, or simply someone seeking hope and motivation, I invite you to be a part of this journey. Together, we can break barriers, challenge expectations, and show the world that life is worth living, no matter the obstacles in our path. So hank you for joining me on this extraordinary expedition of resilience, hope, and courage. Together, let's conquer continents and hearts, proving that cancer may be global, but so is our unwavering spirit to survive and thrive.

The final stops on this epic adventure are Perth, Australia and Antarctica via Buenos Aires and If you are a brand or business that would like to collaborate then please don’t hesitate to contact me.
